The Nagaland government has set aside its order to stop the salaries of employees at the civil secretariat and directorates who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19.
The State government decision comes after the Kohima Bench of Gauhati High Court stayed the government’s order asking employees to get fully vaccinated or produce Covid-19 negative reports every 15 days.
The Nagaland government had earlier notified that salaries of those who have not taken a single dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 or who fail to furnish a COVID-19 negative test report will be stopped beyond July 31.
While unvaccinated employees are required to produce COVID-19 negative test reports by getting tested every 15 days through either RT-PCR/TrueNat/CBNAAT for attending office, the government has now made it free for its employees at the Government testing facilities.
Earlier, the government had faced flak for its decision.
