Mizoram reported a total of 438 new Covid19 positive cases in the last 24 hours while the positivity rate increased to 36.56% in the state on Monday.
The state reported no death due to Covid19 infection in the last 24 hours.
According to the latest Covid19 bulletin, released by the department of information and public relations, Mizoram, on Monday morning, of the new cases 13 were confirmed during TrueNAT tests.
While a total of 425 cases were found positive for Covid19 during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), no test was conducted at the RT-PCR laboratory of Zoram Medical College (ZMC) Hospital as the lab remained closed on Sunday, being a holiday.
With the new cases, the Covid19 positive tally increased to 39,363 on Monday.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 372 patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, recovered from the deadly disease.
While 261 patients recovered in Aizawl, 46 recovered in Mamit, 40 in Kolasib, 14 in Lawngtlai, 9 in Siaha and 2 patients recovered in Champhai district.
The state’s recovery rate stands at 68.75%.
Out of the total Covid19 positive cases, registered in Mizoram, 20,764 are male and 18,599 are female.
Mizoram currently has 12,189 active Covid19 cases.
The deadly disease has claimed the lives of 150 people in Mizoram so far.
Of the active Covid19 cases, Aizawl has 9,429 cases, Lunglei – 725, Siaha – 166, Champhai – 155, Kolasib – 741, Serchhip – 55, Lawngtlai – 567, Mamit – 331, Khawzawl – 2, Hnahthial – 0 and Saitual district currently has 18 active cases.
On Sunday, Mizoram reported 2 deaths due to Covid19 infection and a total 861 positive cases.
On Sunday, the number of active cases stood at 26,387 and the positivity rate was 7.88%.
