The Nyishi Youth Welfare Association (NYWA) and the Arunachal Indigenous Students Union (AISU) have reportedly accused the Arunachal Pradesh Government of ‘misuse’ of COVID funds.
NYWA president Tai Talley said: “The government has misused Covid funds and given them over to their favourites through e-tendering.”
Meanwhile, the NYWA and the AISU have called for a 24-hour bandh in the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR) area on Monday.
The two organisations have called for the bandh saying that the Arunachal Pradesh Government has failed to fulfil its demands.

The organizations have demanded: floating of notices inviting tender on the GeM portal, repeal of the Arunachal Pradesh District Based Entrepreneurs and Professionals (Incentives, Development and Promotional) Act, 2015.
They have also demanded annulment of the Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 2014, cancellation of three ST certificates issued to Tibetan refugees, renaming Indira Gandhi Park as Abotani Park and introduction of a chapter on Arunachal in the NCERT syllabus.
Meanwhile, the ICR district administration has termed the bandh illegal and appealed the public to boycott the bandh.
It said that the cost of damages or destruction of public or private property would be recovered from the bandh callers.
