A short spell of rain on Thursday afternoon in Assam capital city – Guwahati has resulted in several parts of the city reeling under water.
Heavy rains lashed Guwahati city on Thursday afternoon for merely 20-30 minutes, resulting in flash floods.
Reports of flash floods have been reported from various parts of the city.
Areas falling under Nabin Nagar, Sundarpur, Hatigaon and Panjabari are reported to be reeling under water.

Artificial floods in Guwahati city have been a matter of concern for the Assam Government and the Guwahati Municipal Corporation for years.
