The police in Assam‘s Nagaon district have collected Rs 11,50,000 as fine from across the district from violators of “helmet rules”.
This amount of fine was collected from the ‘violators’ in a span of just 10 days.
“Nagaon Traffic Police levied a Fine of ?11,50,000 in 10 Days just for Violating Helmet Rules,” Nagaon Police informed.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of Nagaon Police – Anand Mishra also urged the people to abide by traffic rules.
SP Anand Mishra tweeted: “Death won’t listen to our Excuse and Reasons for not wearing a Helmet !! It may be our “Choice” not to wear a Helmet but it is “Duty” of Police to make us wear one !! Let’s #RespectLaw.”
