Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal along with Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday distributed one-time grant of Rs 5,000 each to the specially-abled (divyannga) people.
The grant was distributed during the launch of Deen Dayal Divyanga Sahajya Achoni at Sarusajai stadium in Guwahati.
The grant will be given to 1 lakh specially-abled people across the State within the next month.
Speaking at the launch function, Sonowal urged public representatives, officials & people to help identify Divyangas from across the State & stated that the government is committed to development of all sections of society, realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Sabka Sath Sab Ka Vikash.
