Two busy localities in Shillong, Meghalaya – Police Bazaar and Keating Road have been completely vaccinated.
This was informed by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.
All residents and shopkeepers in these two commercial hubs of Shillong have been vaccinated.
“2 localities in Zone 3- Police Bazaar and Keating Road have finished 100% vaccination for all residents as well as shopkeepers and staff, keeping customers’ safety first in Shillong’s shopping hub in the heart of the city,” Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma tweeted.

Meanwhile, Meghalaya Congress leader Ampareen Lyngdoh has raised objection to the Chief Minister’s claim saying that people in Police Bazaar and Keating Road localities are yet to receive their vaccine jabs.
“…the area is in my Constituency and residents have informed me that they are yet to be vaccinated. A resident even sent me her token to say her slot is still pending,” Ampareen Lyngdoh tweeted.

Meanwhile, a total of 6,29,034 people in Meghalaya have received COVID-19 vaccine thus far.
Of them, 11,562 were vaccinated on Wednesday.
