Assam has reported 36 more Covid19 deaths and 2,167 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
The news has been confirmed by Assam health minister Keshab Mahanta.
In a tweet on Sunday, health minister Mahanta said the new cases have been confirmed out of 1,00,455 tests.
The overall Covid19 positivity percentage of the state on Sunday stood at 2.16%, according to the data shared by the health minister.
Of the new cases, Kamrup Metro district alone reported 226 cases.
Hundreds of people, who were earlier infected by Covid19, recovered from the disease on Sunday.
The state’s Covid19 recovery rate was 90.14% on Sunday.

On Saturday, Assam reported 42 Covid19 deaths and 3,463 new positive cases.
Assam’s overall positivity percentage stood at 2.14% on Saturday as the new cases were confirmed out of 1,61,896 tests.
Kamrup Metro district reported 246 cases on Saturday while the recovery rate was 89.38%.
