A Myanmar military plane crashed on Thursday morning at Mandalay region due to bad weather condition, said an official.
The military aircraft with 14 people on board took off from the country’s capital city Nay Pyi Taw and was on the way to Pyin Oo Lwin.
The aircraft crashed around 8 am when it was about to make a landing in Pyin Oo Lwin of Mandalay region, Xinhua news agency reported.
He said the number of casualties has yet to be known as the rescue operation is being carried out.
The Mandalay Region Fire Department’s social media page said 12 on board were killed and two people have been rescued and sent to the military hospital for treatment so far.
