The Nagaland government has extended the lockdown in the state till June 18 in a bid to further break the chain of Covid-19 infections in the state.
However, certain relaxations have been allowed as per the new order.
Meanwhile, the law enforcement agencies and district task forces (DTF) will strictly enforce the ‘No mask, no movement’ and ‘No mask, no entry’ policies across the state.
Shops and business establishments will be able to operate from 6 am to 2 pm, though the DTF may decide the timing considering local situations.
However, shops selling stationery, mobile phones, computer accessories and car parts and garages will be allowed to open on alternate days.
Although no religious gatherings and services will be permitted, prayer meeting and fellowships will be allowed with only 20 persons in attendance with strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols.
Administrative offices of schools as well as private offices may function with skeletal staff in matters requiring urgent attention.
Moreover, the DTF may allow construction of buildings and new workers will be allowed entry as per provisions under the revised SPO for returnees and travellers.
Common services centres will be able to function as per the requirements of the respective DTFs for IT support for Covid-19 vaccination.
Light motor vehicles will be able to operate on odd-even basis, though bus service and two-wheeler taxi service will remain suspended during the lockdown.
Riding pillion is strictly prohibited.
The drivers of taxis and auto-rickshaws will have to test themselves and obtain a Covid-19 report before resuming their service.
