Sensation prevails after the recovery of a body of 24-year-old youth in a paddy field, adjacent to Padmabil Jwalabazar Higher Secondary School in Panisagar subdivision in North Tripura.
During initial investigation, police suspect it to be a case of murder.
The body was recovered on Tuesday.
As soon as the news of the recovery of the youth’s body spread as wildfire, a large number of people rushed to the spot.
After being informed about the incident, a team of Panisagar Police immediately reached the spot.
The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Jamir Hussain, a resident of North Padmabil Ward No. 3.
Abdul Qadir, the uncle of the deceased, said, “Jamir went to sleep in his shop after feeding his sick father at his house at around 9.30 pm yesterday (Monday). This morning, we got the information that his body was found in the area adjacent to the Padmabil Higher Secondary School, about one km from the house.”
Upon receiving the news, the family members of the deceased rushed to the spot.
It is learnt that Jamir had been working in a private company at Bengaluru for a long time.
About a month back, he returned back home as his farmer father suddenly fell ill.
Due to heart attack, he became paralyzed and physically-disabled.
However, the family members are not sure why did he come out of the house during the curfew hours on Monday night and what is the reason of his death.
Jamir’s cousin’s bike bearing registration number TR028843 has also been recovered from the spot.
The bike was found locked and the key was on the bike.
and another shoe was found next to the bike.
There were marks of injuries on the head and chest of the deceased’s body.
The Panisagar Police and and the sub-divisional police officers reached the spot and brought forensic team and dog squad from Unkoti district to investigate the suspected killing.
Police have registered a case of murder and have started further investigation.
After autopsy, the body of the deceased was handed over to his family.
