Meghalaya registered 1,183 new COVID-19 positive cases and 10 deaths on Thursday.
Out of 1,183 new cases, East Khasi Hills registered 656, Ri Bhoi 265, West Garo Hills 90, West Jaiñtia Hills 53, West Khasi Hills 26, East Garo Hills 9, East Jaiñtia Hills 17, North Garo Hills 17, South Garo Hills 17, South West Garo Hills 26, and South West Khasi Hills 7.
The state has recorded a total of 389 COVID-19 related deaths till date, with East Khasi Hills district registering the highest number of deaths at 324.
The state recorded 465 new recovered cases on Thursday, taking the total recovered cases to 20,061.
With 1,183 new cases, the number of active cases in Meghalaya has increased to 6,477, out which 3,755 active cases are in East Khasi Hills district.
In 20 days, between May 1 and May 20, Meghalaya registered 10,081 new cases and 218 deaths due to COVID-19.
