Of these 77 deaths, 30 have died in Kamrup-Metro district.
COVID-19 deaths have also been reported from the districts are: Kamrup-Rural – 10, Dibrugarh – 10, Bongaigaon – 4, Golaghat, Nagaon, Nalbari, Sivasagar – 3 cases each, Hojai, Tinsukia, Udalguri – 2 cases each, Darrang, Dhubri, Jorhat, Karimganj and Sonitpur registered 1 death each.

This has pushed Assam’s COVID-19 death toll up to 1753.
Moreover, 5803 new COVID-19 cases have also been detected in Assam on Monday.
Of these new 5803 COVID-19 positive cases, 1481 cases were detected in and around Guwahati city.
These fresh 5803 COVID-19 positive cases in Assam have been detected in Assam after conducting tests of 72197 samples.
Assam at present has 37500 active COVID-19 cases.
The COVID-19 positivity rate recorded in Assam on Monday was 8.04 percent.
Meanwhile, Assam’s COVID-19 recovery rate has dropped to 86.38 percent.
