All semester examinations of Under-graduate and post-graduate courses of the Universities in Tripura have been postponed.
This was informed by The Higher Education Department of Tripura in a notification on Sunday.
The decision to postpone the examinations was taken keeping in view the rapid surge in COVID-19 cases in the State.
“In view of rapid increase in number of COVID-19 cases in the State and considering the safety and security of the students from the surge of the pandemic, the Higher Education Department of the State has decided to postpone all semester examinations of undergraduate and post graduate examinations of all affiliating and private universities operating in the State with effect from 26th April. 2021 until further orders,” the notification read.
The order has come into effect immediately.

Meanwhile, the Tripura Board of Joint entrance examination (TJEE) has extended its last date of online registration for TJEE 2021 to April 30, 2021.
A notice regarding this decision has been uploaded on the board’s official website.
Earlier, the last date to apply for the TJEE 2021 examination was April 25, 2021.
The online submission of the Application and payment began on April 5, 2021.
Tripura currently has an overall caseload of 34,429, while active cases are at 627.
