Mocking Himanta Biswa Sarma, AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal has said that BJP leader is dreaming of becoming the chief minister of Assam.

The Dhubri MP said the Congress-AIUDF grand alliance will definitely come to power in the ensuing Assam Assembly elections.

โ€œHimanta Biswa Sarma is dreaming to be the next chief minister of Assam. He knows not what he says. He calls Azij Khan Pakistan,โ€ said Badruddin Ajmal.

โ€œHe even calls me a Mughul. Am I am Mughal?โ€ he questioned.

Ajmal also claimed that no one in the state will be persecuted in the name of religion if the Congress-AIUDF alliance comes to power.

โ€œI am not communal and very well understand who goes to temples, naamghars and mosques to worship,โ€ the AIUDF chief said.

โ€œIf our alliance comes to power in the state every person will have the freedom to follow his faith,โ€ he said.

Ajmal also thanked the BJP leaders for comparing him time and again with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
