An all-party delegation from Nagaland reportedly met NSCN (I-M) leader Th Muivah and others in New Delhi on Friday.
The delegation was led by Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio, Nagaland Assembly Speaker Sharingain Longkumer and Opposition leader TR Zeliang.
The meeting discussed the resolution of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly taken on February 18 “to pursue the early solution to the Naga political issue”, reports say.
The report further mentioned that the all-party delegation had met Union home minister Amit Shah in this regard on March 18.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Naga National Workers Union (ENNWU) of the NSCN/GPRN has “taken the stand that resolving the Naga political issue would have political meaning if it is based on the Framework Agreement of the 3rd August, 2015,” NSCN (I-M) said in a statement.
The rebel outfit said that the ENNWU would not accept the Naga solution outside the Framework Agreement.
