Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Marketing Board chief executive officer Okit Paling on Saturday declared open the first East Siang District Women’s Football Tournament-2021 at the Doying Gumin ground in Pasighat, the headquarters of East Siang district.
The tournament is being organized by Doying Gumin Football Training Centre in collaboration with the women’s wing of Adi Bane Kebang (East Siang district unit).

Addressing the participants, Paling encouraged them be disciplined and play the game in sportsman spirit.
He also praised the female footballers of the district for coming forward to participate in the competition and encouraged them to take part in more sporting events.
Oti Sitang Eko, the president of ABK Women Wing, Arunachal Pradesh Football Players’ Association president Taying Anthony and East Siang District Football Association president General Jamoh also spoke and encourage the players.

The opening match saw Tezu Town Club defeated Siang United by a solitary goal.
The only goal of the match was scored in the 47th minute by Dimin Ngadong.
A total of 6 teams from Siang, Lohit and East Siang district are participating in the tournament, the finals of which would be held on March 31.
