Tripura girl Patatri Chakraborty, has hit the bull’s eye after been offered for a research position in none other than Harvard University, Boston
The offer has been made by the Prof Mohan D Boodram, Dean for Admissions and Financial Aid.
Patatri earlier created waves in the State as she was the first aspirant to seek admission to the Batchelor in Engineering programme at the State University of New York four years back just after her XIIth standard.
In their letter from Harvard it was stated that she has been chosen from a pool of outstanding applicants from all over the world, and they ‘congratulate her academic achievements’.
She would be offered a scholarship, a research assistantship, a teaching fellowship, for her support of her studies there, said Dr Prasun Chakraborty father of Patatri, while sharing the news with the media in Agartala.
Dr Chakraborty also said that now Patatri has to fly to Harvard, Boston from New York this month for choosing her research area.
She has been offered the same type of opportunity by Purdue University, Case Western University and other two reputed and ranked universities.
