Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu has expressed his satisfaction at Tezu receiving an all women police station.
The minister said that he is pleased to see all women police stations becoming functional in different places across Arunachal Pradesh.
Similar police stations have been opened at Tawang, Pasighat, Seppa and Itanagar.
The state government has started such police stations to provide better security to women and children in the state.
Khandu said that all women police stations are easily approachable for women and they can better communicate on any issue with female police personnel.
“Pleased to see that all-women police stations are being operationalized across the state. We aim to provide safe and secure environment for women and children giving them all opportunities to fulfill their potentials, and be able to contribute in the community,” Pema Khandu tweeted.
