The Meghalaya Government has decided to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel in the State by 2 rupees.

This was informed by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.

The reduced prices of petrol and diesel will come into effect from the midnight of February 8.

The prices of petrol and diesel has been reduced in view of the recent hike in prices of petrol and diesel.

Informing this Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said, “In view of the recent price hike in petrol and diesel in Meghalaya, Government has decided that the rate for both petrol and diesel will be reduced by 2 rupees per litre, effective from midnight of 8th February 2021.”

The current prices of petrol and diesel in Shillong, capital of Meghalaya stands at:

Petrol: Rs 90.85

Diesel: Rs 83.47

With the reduction of 2 rupees in the prices, petrol in the State will cost Rs 88.85 and diesel will cost Rs 81.47.

The reduction of petrol and diesel prices were announced in Meghalaya after the State Government on Sunday reviewed the situation of increased prices of petrol and diesel.
