The Kamrup district administration has roped in popular comedian, musician Rajkumar Thakuria as the brand ambassador for SVEEP activities for the upcoming Assam Assembly polls 2021.
Rajkumar, who is better known as ‘Raku Da’, who has been able to draw the attention of many as an actor, singer and director, for his works in Assamese, English and Hindi languages, is a resident of Mirza under Kamrup district.
Confirming the news, the Kamrup district administration while sharing a promo on its Twitter handle said: “The Kamrup District Administration has roped in popular local comedian Rajkumar Thakuria, better known as ‘Raku Da’ as the brand ambassador for SVEEP activities for the upcoming elections.”
Stating that it is happy to rope the popular comedian, the Kamrup district administration tweeted: “We are happy to have him join us! Are you excited?”

In the post, the actor is quoted as saying: “I am a simple voter, to become a brand ambassador.”
Kamrup deputy commissioner Kailash Karthik N said the initiative has been taken to increase awareness among the voters in the district.
Rajkumar with his own style of acting has been able to create a huge number of fan followers on social media.
