Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday reviewed the action plans to clean and develop the Golf Link area in Shillong in Meghalaya.
During a review meeting held in Shillong, the chief minister also discussed on providing street vendors with a separate area for vending inside the Golf Link area.
The meeting also focused on the development of infrastructure and ways to enhance community participation in maintaining the area.

The Meghalaya government also plans to set up a task force, which will oversee the maintenance of cleanliness in the area and impose fines on those found littering the area.
“Action plans on the development & cleaning of the Golf Link area including the demarcation of area for street vendors, installation of infrastructure, community participation & setting up of a Task Force to impose fines to prevent littering were discussed,” tweeted Conrad Sangma.
