Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane on Friday said Chinese aggression is a “conspiracy to change status quo”.
General Naravane said the sacrifices of those killed in Galwan won’t go to waste.
He said this while addressing a programme organised to mark Army Day in Delhi, says a media report.
While referring to the Chinese standoff in Ladakh, General Naravane said: “Nobody can test our patience”.
Speaking on the ongoing border tension with China, the Army Chief said: “Regarding conspiracy to unilaterally change status quo on borders, a befitting reply was given. I want to assure the country that sacrifice of bravehearts of Galwan would not go waste.”
While asserting that no one can change the sovereignty of India’s territorial integrity, General Navarane said: “Our forces morale is very high and we are ready for any eventuality.”
The Indian Army Chief also spoke about the 8 rounds of talks between the military commanders of both the neighbouring countries.
He said India is looking for a resolution through dialogue.
The tension between India and China continues for the last 9 months.
The standoff took an ugly turn on June 15, 2020 in Galwan Valley in which 20 Indian soldiers lost their lives while the Chinese never made their casualty public.
Meanwhile, General MM Naravane has conveyed warm wishes to all ranks of the Indian Army, civilians, veterans and their families on the occasion of the 73rd Army Day.
