Nagaland has registered 33 new Covid19 positive cases on Tuesday, taking the state’s total tally to 11,761 cases.

Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 status on Tuesday said, “Update! 33 +ve cases of # COVID-19 have detected today.”

The health minister informed that of the new cases, 15 new cases have been detected in Kohima district, 8 new cases each have been reported from Mokokchung and Dimapur while 2 cases have been detected in Peren district.

Meanwhile, 31 more positive patients have recovered from the disease, the Nagaland health minister informed.

Health minister Phom said while 25 more patients have recovered in Dimapur district, 6 other patients have recovered in Kohima district.

So far, a total of 10,970 people, who were earlier infected by Covid19, have recovered from the disease in Nagaland.

Nagaland currently has 592 active Covid19 cases.

“Wear mask, keep distance, stay safe,” the health minister reiterated his appeal to the citizens of Nagaland.

Till Monday, the Covid19 death toll stood at 62.
