Mizoram’s Covid19 tally reached 4,040 in the last 24 hours after the detection of 5 more positive cases.

According to Covid19 statistics, prepared by the directorate of information and public relations, Mizoram, the new cases were detected during the Rapid Antigen Test.

No samples were tested at Zoram Medical College (ZMC) by RT-PCR as the laboratory remained closed on Sunday.

A total of 8 districts in Mizoram still have active cases.

District-wise, the active cases in the state include Aizawl – 76, Lunglei – 33, Champhai – 2, Kolasib – 7, Serchhip – 16, Lawngtlai – 49, Mamit – 2 and Khawzawl district has 1 case.

The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 7 positive patients in Mizoram.

So far, a total of 3,847 people have recovered from the disease in the state.

Meanwhile, the detection of new Covid19 cases fell below 30,000 for the third time in December, taking India’s coronavirus caseload to 98.84 lakh, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Monday.

Meanwhile, the number of people, who have recovered from the disease in India increased to 93.88 lakh on Monday.
