Former Shillong Lajong coach Alison Kharsyntiew, who hails from Meghalaya, will join NorthEast United FC (NEUFC) as the assistant manager of the team.
Confirming this on its Twitter handle, the NEUFC said: “We are delighted to welcome Coach Alison Kharsyntiew to the NEUFC Coaching Setup.”
“Hailing from Meghalaya, Alison will join us as the Indian Assistant Manager to the first team,” it said.
NEUFC further tweeted: “Alison has previously worked with Shillong Lajong FC, where he has groomed Highlanders such as Rakesh Pradhan, Nim Dorjee, Nabin Rabha and Pragyan Gogoi.”
It said Alison will join the team after completing all the Covid19 protocols, set by the government due to the pandemic.
“Alison will join us on the pitch after completing all the Covid Protocols, which includes a 2 week mandatory quarantine,” NEUFC said.
According to sources, Alison has the experience of leading the youngsters at Shillong Lajong since 2012 and also had a couple of assistant coach roles with the senior team.
