The State Bank of India (SBI) has invited applications for recruitment of 8,500 apprentices in various zones for three years.

Interested candidates can fill the application forms online by visiting the official website of SBI at sbi.co.in.

Online exam for selection of apprentices will be held in January 2021, the SBI has said.

The window for application opened on Friday, November 20 and the last date to apply is December 10.

Graduates between 20-28 years of age as on October 31, 2020 are eligible for the post.

“Maximum age indicated is for unreserved and EWS candidates. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates,” the notification issued by SBI said.

There will be no interview post the written test and the screened candidates will have to appear and qualify a local language test instead.

The candidate must be a graduate from a recognised university or institute before October 31, 2020.

General candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 300. However, candidates belonging to reserved category need not pay any fees.

There is a stipend allotted for the apprentices. During the first year, the amount has been set at Rs 15,000 per month, for the second year, the stipend will be Rs 16,500.

In the third year of apprenticeship, the candidates will receive Rs 19,000 as a monthly stipend.
