Shillong Teer an archery-based game, which is extremely popular in Shillong and other parts of Meghalaya.
The archery-based game of Shillong Teer is in two rounds. Every day, 50 archers shoot 30 arrows each at 3:30 pm and 20 arrows in the second round at 4:30 pm.
The Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association, which is a group of 12 archery clubs, hosts the lottery.
The results of first-round number of Shillong Teer are out at 3:30 PM. The second-round numbers of Shillong Teer results are declared at 4:30 pm.

There are several authorized Shillong Teer counters operational across the state, and the city of Shillong has the highest density of Shillong Teer counters.
Every day, tickets for first round of Shillong Teer are sold from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm. and for second round, tickets are sold till 4.30 pm.
Except Sunday, the archery session begins at Polo Ground in Shillong at 3.45 pm.
A person can win Rs 80 for every Re 1 bet on a number in the first round and Rs 60 for every Re 1 spent on the second round.
The game is simple. One has to select the last two digits of the total number of arrows that hit the target. Whoever gets the number right, is the winner of Shillong Teer.
In addition to Shillong Teer, the game is played at three different places —Khanapara Teer, Jowai Teer and Ladrymbai Teer.
