Manipur has reported four more deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, official sources said in Imphal on Saturday.
The cumulative number of virus deaths in the State has now touched 168.
A 65-year-old man from Thoubal, a 72-year-man from Imphal West, a 43-year-old woman from Tamenglong and a 78-year-old woman from Imphal East expired at RIMS and JNIMS respectively, says Covid common control room in Imphal in a press release on Saturday.
In the past 24 hours, 217 civilians (including 94 females) and 13 Central Armed Police Forces personnel have been confirmed positive.
The new COVID-19 cases were confirmed at 26 testing facilities in the State.
A total of 1057 persons were discharged from 19 COVID care facilities including 939 from home isolation facilities, it said.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 18,502 while the numbers of active and recovered cases are 3,472 and 14,862 respectively, it added.
The recovery rate is 80.32 percent.
As of Saturday, 4, 29,910 people were screened at various entry points into the state, while 3, 51,953 individuals were tested for the disease, said officials.
