Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 6 pm today (Tuesday).

Confirming the news, Modi on his Twitter handle on Tuesday said he will be sharing a message with the country at 6 pm on the day.

โ€œWill be sharing a message with my fellow citizens at 6 PM this evening,โ€ Modi tweeted.

The Prime Minister, however, did not mention the issues that he will cover in his address.

But it is expected that he is likely to speak about the COVID19 situation in the country.

The Prime Minister in his last address to the nation on June 30 announced extension of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY), a programme to provide free ration for over 80 crore people, mostly poor, by five more months till November-end.

It will be Modiโ€™s seventh address to the nation since the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.

After Modiโ€™s announcement that he is going to address the nation, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi asks the PM to โ€œtell the nation the date by whichโ€ he will โ€œthrow the Chinese out of Indian territoryโ€.

โ€œDear PM, In your 6pm address, please tell the nation the date by which you will throw the Chinese out of Indian territory. Thank you,โ€ Gandhi tweeted.
