In a joint operation launched by Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police, an active cadre of the NSCN (IM) was apprehended from Chumukedima village in Dimapur.
The joint operation team also nabbed a drug peddler from Tsumang A Colony in Wokha.
The Assam Rifles has confirmed the news on its Twitter handle.
According to the Assam Rifles, the recovered items include illegal contraband and liquor worth approximately Rs 3.5 lakh.
The operation was reportedly carried out on Friday.

The recovered items include 1,460 SP capsules, 12 cases of Rum and Whisky, and two cases Can Beer.
The arrested persons along with the recovered items have been handed over to the police for further legal action.
As per media reports, the arrested NSCN(IM) cadre is a self-styled ‘tatar’ of the outfit.
The NSCN(IM) cadre has been identified as 38-year-old Kelenchutuo Doze.
