Two more persons succumbed to COVID-19 infection in Kokrajhar on Sunday, informed Kokrajhar DC Bhaskar Phukan.
One of the deceased has been identified as Nirupam Narzary (40)- who was working as the manager of North East Small Finance Bank in Kokrajhar.
The other deceased have been identified as Uma Charan Narzary (66)- a resident of Tengapara ward No 6, Kokrajhar.
The duo died in Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH), Barpeta.
Nirupam Narzary was the former Bank manager of HDFC in Kokrajhar.
Later he joined as the area manager of North East Small Finance Bank.
A few days back he was infected with COVID-19 and on Saturday he was referred to FAAMCH.
Narzary leaves behind wife, two sons and host of other relatives.
Meanwhile, 33 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from Kokrajhar district on Sunday.
