The All BTC Brahmin Youth Council (ABBYC) has made a fervent appeal to the Brahmin people of various linguistic communities residing in the Bodo belt to come under a unified platform to voice for their rights.
The ABBYC has also demanded the creation of Brahmin Development Council (BDC).
ABBYC president Tirtha Ranjan Goswami addressing a central executive meeting in Tangla on Sunday stated that the association is determined to strengthen its organizational base by reaching out to Brahmins belonging to various linguistic communities of BTC.
He said the organisation will also undertake a project of creating a database so that the statistical figure of population of the Brahmins can be determined.
“We are determined to press for the creation of Brahmin Development Council for the socio-economical development of the community as the people of the community are plaguing through various issues which are often overlooked by the government,” he said.
He further said that the association will lend its support to any party in forthcoming BTC polls which incorporates clauses for the development of the community.
