Two minor girls were sexually assaulted inside a COVID care centre in Tripura, allegedly by a cleaner of the centre.
The incident has raised questions regarding the safety of women, especially minors, in the COVID care centres.
The two victims are aged 15 and 16 years respectively and the incident took place at Kumarghat PRTI COVID Care Centre.
The duo was admitted to the centre a few days back after they tested positive for COVID-19.
As per them, the accused was treating them rudely since day one and also made them indecent proposals.
The teenagers have filed a case against the cleaner with the police, however, the police are yet to arrest the accused.
