Urmila Brahma, a 35-year-old woman died of COVID-19 on Friday at Nasraibil village under Soraibil police outpost in Kokrajhar.

The death about the woman was informed by Kokrajhar district commissioner Bhaskar Phukan.

He informed that Brahma was brought to the Kokrajhar RNB isolation ward on Friday at 2.10 time and she died at around 3.25 pm.

He said that again  94 new COVID-19 cases were detected from Kokrajhar district on Friday.

“Today, the health department conducted a total of 1084 Rapid Antigen Tests and 94 tests came positive,” Phukan said.

“The patients are undergoing treatment at RNB hospital,  Besorgaon COVID care centre and Serfanguri hospital,” he added.

Kokrajhar, so far, has reported a total of 1979 positive cases and a total of 14 people have succumbed to the infection.
