India’s traditional education system is probably one the oldest in the world. The traditional Gurukul has been a source of inspiration for many across the globe.

Though India has adopted modern educational curriculum and the system of education has also modernized in smart classrooms, the respect for Guru (teachers) is still deep rooted.

The strong bond of Guru-Shishya still exists in its modern form in India. Every student makes it a point to wish teachers on the Teachers’ Day.

Every year, birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan is celebrated as Teachers Day on September 5.

This year, Teachers Day celebrations in India are going to be a low-key primarily because of the COVID19 pandemic.
