Actor Jitul Rajbongshi, who was popular among the audience of Assam for portraying the iconic character of ‘Jiten Master’ in popular comedy YouTube series Telsura, passed away on Tuesday night at 11:30 pm.
The 26-year-old actor was suffering from cancer and was undergoing treatment at the B Borooah Cancer Institute in Guwahati.
He was an integral part of YouTube channel Voice Assam and he used to write the script of most of the episodes of Telsura, apart from directing and producing it.
The late actor was also a TET teacher at Tamulpur.
His death has left a pall of gloom in the area.
On Tuesday morning, the actors and the crew member of Telsura urged state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for medical and financial assistance for Rajbongshi’s treatment.
