A total of 2427 COVID-19 cases were detected in Assam on Saturday, taking the state’s overall tally to 103794.
Of the total cases, 459 were from Kamrup (Metro), 177 from Dibrugarh, 158 from Cachar and 136 from Jorhat.
A total of 36839 COVID-19 tests were carried out in the state in the last 24 hours.
So far, 81070 numbers of patients have recovered from the infection and the active cases in the state stand at 22432.
Meanwhile, Assam’s positivity rate stands at 6.58 per cent.
Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared this information in a tweet on Saturday night.
