With 194 new recovered cases in the past 24 hours, the recovery rate of the COVID -19 positive cases in Manipur has reached 67.32 per cent on Saturday.
The recovered cases are from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) and other COVID care centres of the state, as per the latest data available with the state health authority.

So far 3,455 persons out of the state’s total COVID 19 positive cases (5,132) have discharged from various COVID care centres in the state.
“The cumulative number of positive cases is 5,132.The cumulative number of discharged cases is 3,455.The number of active cases is 1, 655,” the COVID 19 Common Control Room said in a press release on Saturday.
“In the past 24 hours, 61 persons (39 male, 22 female) from general population and 22 from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases,” said the release.

“Only one person from Chandel is a returnee from other states whereas the rest 60 are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the COVID Care facilities,” it said.
“Yesterday, one male aged 34 yrs from Churachandpur expired at UNACCO (a covid care centre) due to COVID 19,” the release said.
“Today, a female aged 70 yrs from Thoubal expired due to COVID-19 and other comorbid health conditions,” added the release.
The state reported its first death due to COVID 19 on July 29.
