Days after Union home minister Amit Shah was discharged from Medanta Hospital in Gurugram following his recovery from Covid-19, Shah was admitted to AIIMS in Delhi early on Tuesday.
AIIMS in a statement said he had been complaining of fatigue and bodyache for the past few days and was now in the hospital for postCovid care.
“Sh Amit Shah, Honourable Home Minister has been complaining for fatigue and body aches for last 3-4 days. He has tested negative for Covid-19. He has been admitted to AIIMS for post-Covid care. He is comfortable and continuing his work from the hospital,” said an AIIMS statement on Tuesday morning.
Shah had recently spent 12 days in Medanta Hospital after testing positive for Covid-19 on August 2.
He was discharged on August 14 after his Covid-19 test result came out as negative.
Shah after his discharge from hospital in a tweet had said that he would be under home isolation for a few more days, as advised by the doctors.
Shah could not attend the Independence Day function at Red Fort this year but hoisted the flag at his residence.
