Days after Union home minister Amit Shah was discharged from Medanta Hospital in Gurugram following his recovery from Covid-19, Shah was admitted to AIIMS in Delhi early on Tuesday.

AIIMS in a statement said he had been complaining of fatigue and bodyache for the past few days and was now in the hospital for postCovid care.

โ€œSh Amit Shah, Honourable Home Minister has been complaining for fatigue and body aches for last 3-4 days. He has tested negative for Covid-19. He has been admitted to AIIMS for post-Covid care. He is comfortable and continuing his work from the hospital,โ€ said an AIIMS statement on Tuesday morning.

Shah had recently spent 12 days in Medanta Hospital after testing positive for Covid-19 on August 2.

He was discharged on August 14 after his Covid-19 test result came out as negative.

Shah after his discharge from hospital in a tweet had said that he would be under home isolation for a few more days, as advised by the doctors.

Shah could not attend the Independence Day function at Red Fort this year but hoisted the flag at his residence.
