Full dress rehearsal parade for 74th Independence Day celebration was held on Thursday at Dharmanagar in Tripura.

Superintendent of police of North Tripura Bhanupada Chakraborty and others remained present in the final dress rehearsal parade.

However, this year the celebration has been cut short in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It has been decided that the programme will be kept limited to gaurd of honour followed by flag hoisting and ending with national anthem.

The decision was taken in view of the rising cases of COVID-19 across the State.

However, this year on 74th Independence Day tribute will be paid to the COVID warriors like doctors, cleanliness staffs and also the recovered COVID-19 patients for boosting their morale.
