Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has been diagnosed with lung cancer.
Confirming the news, a film trade analyst tweeted: “Now Sanjay Dutt diagnosed with lung cancer. Let’s pray for his speedy recovery.”
Earlier on Tuesday while taking to Twitter, Sanjay Dutt announced that he was taking a break from the films for medical treatment and urged his fans not to worry or unnecessarily speculate.
He wrote: “Hi friends, I am taking a short break from work for medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!”

On Saturday, Sanjay Dutt was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital due to breathing problems.

Taking to his Twitter handle, the actor on August 8 said: “Just wanted to assure everyone that I’m doing well. I’m currently under medical observation & my COVID-19 report is negative.”
A media report quoted a close friend of the actor as saying that the actor is worried about his little children who are currently in Dubai with their mother Maanayata Dutt.
According to the friend, the actor will leave for the US for treatment.
