Dhubri Police seized a huge quantity of Yaba tablets worth around Rs 8 lakh in the international market and arrested two drug peddlers from the Gauripur town.

Police informed that acting on a specific input about the movement carrying of the consignments of drugs, Dhubri Police set up a check-point at a strategic point near at PB College of Gauripur town area and intercepted a car bearing registration number AS-17-G-5709 and apprehended the two persons travelling in the car.

When the vehicle was searched, the police recovered the consignment of the banned R-7 (Yaba Tablets), which was hidden in 60 packets containing 200 tablets each.

The two persons have been identified as Anarul Sk and Ajijul Islam.
