The COVID-19 tally in Assam’s Dhubri district crossed 1032 on Thursday with an addition of 65 fresh cases.

So far been 665 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospital in the district.

The district has still 367 active cases.

Meanwhile, the district Health department has sped up the Rapid Antigen Test which has been helpful in curbing the community spread.

“We get positivity of these tests within an hour and accordingly we take them for treatment, so these tests are really helping in the spread of the virus,” said a health official on condition of anonymity.

The District Health Services along with the District Administration has collected total 48,578 samples in Dhubri district for COVID-19 tests out of which 46,694 samples have been found negative while the test reports of 730 persons are awaited.

All Covid-19 detected patients have been admitted to different hospitals for further treatment across the State.

These include 29 in Dhubri Civil Hospital, 88 at Moterjhar model hospital, 82 at Bilasipara Sub Divisional Hospital, 87 at Kismat Hasdah Hospital, 56 at Bogribari Model Hospital, nine at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital, four at FAAMCH of Barpeta, one at Marwari Maternity Hospital of Guwahati, three at Ayursundra of Guwahati, five at Arya Hospital and two are at home quarantine, as informed by health officials.
