An under trial prisoner (UTP) at West Garo Hills District Jail, who escaped from the jail on Wednesday, was caught on Sunday.
Tengrik Marak was apprehended from near Dadenggre village in Meghalaya’s West Garo Hills.
He fled from the jail when he was being sanitized after he was brought back from court on Wednesday.
Five police personnel were placed under suspension after he escaped from the jail.
