A team of medical practitioners on Monday conducted tests for Covid-19 at the Raj Bhavan in Itanagar.

Governor B D Mishra and his family members, Raj Bhavan officials and members of the Governor’s Secretariat, staff of attached departments and security personnel of state police and Indo-Tibetan Border Police underwent the test voluntarily.

The test was led by State Surveillance Officer (IDSP) L Jampa and Epidemiologist and District Medical officer of Itanagar Capital Complex Mandip Perme.

Appreciating the medical team, the Governor said that the examination has brought awareness to the staff to take all anti-Covid 19 protocol precautions as they have been attending office during the lockdown by adhering to the state government’s standard operating procedures.

He expressed his confidence in the team of doctors, who have been strictly following the counter-measures for the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Governor said that to defeat the pandemic, social distancing, use of masks and frequent hand-washing are very important.

He appealed to the people to use masks, maintain social distance and frequently wash their hands.

The Governor advised the people to install ‘Aarogya Setu’ application in their mobile to be sure of their surroundings for safety from Covid-19 positive cases.

He also hailed the dedication of the Corona Warriors and their motivators – OSD and Joint Secretary Mamata Riba, District Surveillance Officer (ICC) Giri Tali, ENT specialist Komri Riba and the technical staff of Urban Health Centre, Itanagar.
