An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale was reported near Champhai in Mizoram on Sunday evening.
According to India’s National Centre for Seismology, the epicentre of the earthquake was 25 km south-southwest (SSW) of Champhai.
The earthquake struck at 5:26:37 PM IST at a depth of 77 km from the surface.
It may be mentioned here that on Friday, an earthquake of measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale was reported near Champhai.
According to India’s National Centre for Seismology, the epicentre of the earthquake was 52 km south-southeast (SSE) of Champhai.
The earthquake struck at 2:35:41 PM IST at a depth of 25 km from the surface.
Sunday’s earthquake was the seventh earthquake in the last one and a half months to have rocked Mizoram.
