A total of 149 Assam Police personnel have been infected by COVID19 so far.
Out of the total infected personnel, 30 have recovered from the disease.
Sharing the news on his Twitter handle, additional director general of police (law & order), Assam, GP Singh, on Saturday said: Till July 4th 2020 – Assam Police’s 149 personnel have tested Covid positive out of whom 30 have recovered.”
The top Assam Police officer informed that a total of 1,114 Assam Police personnel are currently under home quarantine.

Assam has so far registered 9,799 COVID19 positive cases.
On Friday, 365 new COVID19 cases were detected in Assam. Out of new cases, 134 were reported from Guwahati.
While the total number of recovered COVID19 cases in Assam stands at 6,327, the number of active cases stand at 3,455.
The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 14 persons in Assam.
India is the fourth most affected nation in world, and has so far recorded 6,48,315 COVID19 positive cases, which includes 18,655 deaths, as per Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Centre.
Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat have reported the highest number of positive cases.
Globally, COVID19 has affected 110.4 lakh people and at least 5.24 lakh people have died so far, as per the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Centre.
