Five Covid-19 patients were discharged from the Covid Hospital at Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday after they tested negative in two consecutive reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests.
With this, the East Siang district now has four active cases.
The patients were released with discharge certificates in a simple function held at the hospital.
District Covid-19 nodal officer Dr T Tali, health services joint director Dr Dukhum Raina and medical superintendent Dr Y R Darang were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the second Covid-19 patient of Lower Dibang Valley who had tested positive for the virus on June 13 was also discharged on the day.
He was handed over his discharge slip by district planning officer, Marto Dirchi, in the presence the medical team who are looking after the patients in the covid care center.
