Assam on Sunday morning recoded a total of 133 new COVID-19 cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 5388.
Of the total cases reported, 73 are from Kamrup (metro), 31 are from Nagaon, 18 from Jorhat, 5 from Udalguri, 2 from Golaghat, 2 from Majuli and one each from Dhemaji and Tinsukia.
In a tweet, state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Alert ~ 133 new #COVID19+ cases reported in Assam 73 Kamrup(M), 31 Nagaon, 18 Jorhat, 5 Udalguri, 2 Golaghat, 2 Majuli, 1 Dhemaji, 1 Tinsukia.”

The total number of active cases in the state is 2174 and the total number of recovered persons is 3202.
Nine persons have died of COVID-19 in the state s far.
